CRESWELL, OR — What started as a “L.A.B. Golf problem” led to the creation of what L.A.B. Golf is calling the best performing putter shaft it has ever tested.
The new L.A.B. Golf by TPT Golf putter shaft is a collaboration between L.A.B. Golf and Swiss golf shaft manufacturer TPT, which teamed up to create the highest quality putter shafts in the world.
“The Lie Angle Balancing process is so precise that even a minor shaft imperfection can cause problems for our builders,” said L.A.B. Golf CEO Sam Hahn. “We reached out to TPT because of its incredibly sophisticated manufacturing process that allows its team to create the most precise shafts in the world. We knew working with them would solve a problem for us. What we didn’t realize was that it would also create the best performing and best feeling putter shaft we’ve ever tested.”
L.A.B. Golf by TPT Golf putter shafts are created using an automated manufacturing process that continuously winds a single strip of carbon fiber in such a way that there are no overlaps or seams in the shaft. The fiber is applied so that every fiber angle is “on-axis,” which means every fiber is working together in harmony. It’s essentially a one-piece construction, and this can be felt by golfers in the way the shaft moves and feels.
“The first time Adam Scott tried this shaft, he called the feedback ‘instant,’” Hahn added. “It’s the first product we’ve tested that delivers both the highest level of consistency and the best feedback we’ve ever experienced. The feedback is quiet, clean, and ultra-clear.”
L.A.B. Golf by TPT Golf putter shafts are currently the company’s most requested putter shaft on the professional tours. The shaft was used by Lucas Glover to win the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship. Adam Scott was the first player to put the shaft in play in February at the Genesis Invitational.
“L.A.B. Golf came to us because the company was discarding hundreds of shafts a year that just were not round enough or straight enough to create Lie Angle Balance,” said TPT GOLF CEO François Mordasini. “Our patented technology and manufacturing process allows L.A.B. Golf to build the best possible putter for their customers.”
L.A.B. Golf by TPT Golf putter shafts are only available in L.A.B. Golf putters. The upgrade price is $399 for standard-length, armlock, and broomstick builds. Learn more at L.A.B. Golf’s website.
Rolling a golf ball into a hole shouldn’t be complicated. Yet for golfers around the world, putting is the most challenging part of the game. L.A.B. Golf was created to simplify things. The company believes it’s possible for all golfers to be excited about putting.
L.A.B. Golf putters and its Press Grips are available at labgolf.com, PGA Tour SuperStore, Club Champion, and other fine golf retailers.
